MANAGERIAL/COACHING CAREER

Lorenzo Bundy enters his second season as Miami's outfield and baserunning coach, returning to Marlins organization after previously serving as outfield/baserunning coach in 1998, manager of Brevard County in 1997 and baserunning and outfield coordinator from 1995-96...Bundy is on fifth big league coaching staff after seeing time as Marlins outfield/baserunning coach (1998), Rockies' bullpen coach (1999), Diamondbacks' bench coach (2004) and first base coach (2009), and Dodgers' third base/outfield coach (2014-15)...In 2016, Marlins outfielders ranked seventh in National League in outfield assists (28)...Prior to joining Miami, spent eight years in Dodgers' organization, most recently as third base/outfield coach in 2015...Managed Dodgers' Triple-A club in Albuquerque (2011-13), guiding Isotopes to 225-206 (.522) overall record...Tied a franchise record with 80 wins in 2012, earning Pacific Coast League's Manager of the Year honors...Managed Triple-A Las Vegas from 2007-08 and Rookie-level AZL Dodgers in 2010...Overall, has accumulated a 753-774 record in 12 seasons as a Minor League manager in Montreal (1990-94), Florida (1997) and Dodger organizations (2007-08, 2010-13)...Also managed in Mexican Pacific League, earning Manager of the Year four times. Won three league championships with three different teams and is second-winningest manager in league history...Managed Navojoa Mayos in 2014 and achieved his milestone 600th win as a manager in the league...Guided Bradenton to Gulf Coast League Southern Division title in 1990...Began coaching career as a player/coach with Jacksonville in 1989 and was also employed as a coach in the Marlins (1995-96), Rockies (2000-02) and Red Sox (2002) minor league systems.

PLAYING CAREER

Played eight professional seasons from 1981-89 with Texas, Pittsburgh and Montreal organizations in addition to playing in Mexican League...Played with Mexico City Reds from 1985-88 and hit .364 with 40 home runs and 134 RBI in 1986...Hit .318 with 135 home runs and 534 RBI in Minor Leagues and Mexican League...Drafted by Baltimore in 22nd round in 1977 draft.

Lorenzo Bundy and his wife of 25 years, Maria Guadalupe (Lupita), live in Tucson, AZ, and have a 23-year-old daughter named Nicole…Bundy has a bachelor's degree in communications from James Madison University (1982), where he is tied for third all-time in home runs (36).
