Destin Dwane Hood...hit .485 with 19 extra-base hits, including eight home runs, 32 RBI and 17 stolen bases as a senior at St. Paul's Episcopal High School (AL)...same high school as former Cy Young Award winner Jake Peavy...earned spot on USA Today's All-USA High School Baseball Team...was named 5A Player of the Year by the Alabama Sports Writers Association, and the High School Baseball Player of the Year by the Mobile Press-Register... on the gridiron, led St. Paul's to the 5A state championship as both a wide receiver (56 catches, 995 yards) and defensive back, earning First-Team All-State recognition from the Birmingham News...earned AFLAC All American honors and won AFLAC's Home Run Derby (hit eight homers)...hit .517 with seven homers and 36 RBI as a junior...signed a National Letter of Intent to play football and baseball at the University of Alabama.
