ATLANTA -- Bang-bang plays don't get much closer than the one that took place in the ninth inning at Turner Field on Sunday.

In a pivotal play with the game on the line, the close call went in the Braves' favor.

The Marlins challenged a leadoff out at first when Donovan Solano was thrown out by third baseman Chris Johnson. Facing Craig Kimbrel in a one-run game, Solano ripped a hard grounder. Johnson made a nice diving stab, and first baseman Freddie Freeman did his part with a wide stretch.

The ball and Solano arrived about the same time, and first-base umpire Chris Guccione quickly ruled Solano out

Miami manager Mike Redmond challenged, and after a review of one minute and 21 seconds, the call stood.

Kimbrel locked down the save in Atlanta's 1-0 victory.

The Marlins are now 17-for-24 in replay challenges.
