Reliever Roe dealt to Yankees

ATLANTA -- Chaz Roe, who struck out 72 in 64 innings at Triple-A New Orleans, was dealt from the Marlins to the Yankees on Sunday afternoon for cash considerations.

Roe, 27, added 14 saves in 18 opportunities.

A non-roster invitee to Spring Training, Roe didn't pitch in the big leagues this season. The right-hander appeared in 21 games with the D-backs in 2013, posting a 4.03 ERA in 22 1/3 innings.

The Zephyrs' season wrapped up Sunday, and Roe could qualify to appear on the Yankees' postseason roster.

Roe went 3-3 at New Orleans and posted a WHIP of 1.16.
