Marlins Park to host Octoberfest Miami on October 4


The Miami Marlins have announced that Marlins Park will host the Octoberfest Miami Festival, presented by Beck's, at the West Plaza from noon to 11 p.m. on Saturday, October 4. The event will take place rain or shine as the roof will be opened to provide shelter or shade in the West Plaza. For the past two years, Octoberfest Miami by Vitamin C Communications, formerly known as Brickellfest, has executed the city's most exciting examples of an Octoberfest celebration.

Fans can purchase tickets at Marlins.com/Octoberfest and enter the promotion code "OFEST" for a 50-percent discount on tickets. Two ticket packages are available for the event; the VIP package includes VIP entry to Octoberfest Miami, one 16-ounce beer in a souvenir Octoberfest mug, one plate of German-style cuisine, one alpine hat and early check-in from noon to 2 p.m. The general admission package includes entry to the event and one complimentary 16-ounce sponsored beer.

The event will include authentic German food, live music and a roster of 18 different beers from Beck's, Goose Island, Shock Top and Johnny Appleseed. Live entertainment will be featured for the duration of the event, featuring a live German band, La Linea, DJ Africa, DJ Vertigo and DJ Zog.
