Tickets for Miami Legends Cup at Marlins Park now on sale

Tickets are now available for the upcoming legendary soccer match at Marlins Park between Real Madrid CF legends and FC Barcelona legends as one of the oldest and most intense rivalries takes place in Miami in the inaugural Miami Legends Cup. The match is set for Thursday, September 11 at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $20 and can be purchased online at marlins.com/events, by calling 1-800-967-9393 or at Marlins Park, North Ticket Windows.

"The excitement for this match continues to build with each passing week, and now soccer fans can take advantage of some great ticket offers," said Claude Delorme, Marlins Executive Vice President of Operations and Events. "The 2014 FIFA World Cup begins today, and soccer fanatics are going to be pleased to know they can see some former World Cup stars here at Marlins Park."

Although the final rosters have not been announced, former world superstars and World Cup players Luis Figo, Fabio Cannavaro and Ronaldinho are a few confirmed players who will take the pitch for this rivalry match. Figo, who is the most capped Portuguese player in history, was named the 2000 European Footballer of the Year and 2001 FIFA World Player of the Year. Cannavaro, who is Italy's most capped player in history, led his country to the 2006 FIFA World Cup. Ronaldinho, who was a member of the 2002 FIFA World Cup winning team for Brazil, won the FIFA World Player of the Year award in 2004 and '05.

There will be several ancillary events taking place, including a celebrity-driven gala and golf tournament to be held at the Trump National Doral as well as youth clinics and other community events that will feature players from both teams.
