Marlins announce 2014 Spring Training broadcast schedule


MIAMI, FL - The Miami Marlins announced today their 2014 Spring Training broadcast schedule. A total of 15 Spring Training games will be made available via the Marlins Radio Network, 14 of those on the new official English flagship station WINZ 940 AM and one on sister station WIOD 610 AM. The Spanish radio flagship station, Radio Mambi WAQI 710 AM, will broadcast 10 preseason contests while FOX Sports Florida will televise five Marlins games.

Hall of Fame broadcaster Dave Van Horne returns for his 14th season and Glenn Geffner is back for his seventh season on the Marlins Radio Network. Rich Waltz and Tommy Hutton are set to call the action from the television booth on FOX Sports Florida, while Spanish language Hall of Fame broadcaster Felo Ramirez and Yiky Quintana will have the call in Spanish on Radio Mambi.

The Marlins Radio Network consists of: WKWF 1600 AM in Key West, WFFG 1300 AM in Marathon, WSTU 1450 AM in Stuart, WWCN 770 AM in Naples/Ft. Myers, WSWN 900 AM in Belle Glade, WIXC 1060 AM in Titusville, WMMB 1240 AM in Melbourne, and WBZT 1230 AM in West Palm Beach. All English radio broadcasts will showcase live 30-minute pre and postgame shows.
