Marlins Park recognized nationally for Structural Systems

MIAMI (April 25, 2013) - Marlins Park received yesterday the Grand Award for Structural Systems from the ACEC (American Council of Engineering Companies). This national award was presented to the Marlins during the 2013 Engineering Excellence Awards Gala in Washington, D.C.
Marlins Park was also shortlisted as a finalist in the New Venue and Sustainability categories of The Stadium Business Awards 2013. The winners of these international awards will be announced at the Gala Awards Evening, held during The Stadium Business Summit at The Point at Emirates Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester, UK on June 6, 2013.
The announcements were made by Claude Delorme, Marlins EVP of Ballpark Operations and Events. "The ACEC awards are equivalent to the Academy Awards for the Engineering Industry," said Claude Delorme. "To be recognized for engineering excellence at the national level is truly a tribute to our entire design team of professionals associated with Marlins Park."
