MIAMI -- Some more seasoned relief help will be joining the Marlins in Spring Training.

The Marlins have agreed to terms with Chad Qualls on a Minor League contract with an invitation to Spring Training, according to the Miami Herald. The 34-year-old right-hander brings 597 career relief appearances and 51 saves into camp.

Qualls spent 2012 with the Pirates, throwing 52 1/3 innings in 60 games while posting a 2-1 record with a 5.33 ERA. Qualls broke in with the Astros in 2004, and he's also pitched for the D-backs, Rays, Padres, Phillies and Yankees.

Recently, Miami also signed relievers Michael Wuertz and Mitch Talbot to Minor League deals with invitations to Spring Training.
