Marlins Announce 2013 Spring Training Schedule

MIAMI – The Miami Marlins today announced their 2013 Spring Training schedule, which includes 16 home contests at Roger Dean Stadium, 20 contests overall at the complex, and an exhibition game vs. the Venezuelan WBC team.

In their 11th spring at Roger Dean Stadium, the Marlins are currently slated to play 32 exhibition games, the first coming on Saturday, February 23, hosting the St. Louis Cardinals at 1:05 p.m. Overall the Marlins will play a total of 31 Grapefruit League games, with home games in Jupiter against the Cardinals (four times), Mets (three times), Nationals (twice), Twins (March 1), Yankees (March 8), Red Sox (March 11), Astros (March 12), Braves (March 13), and Tigers (March 25). Miami will also host the Venezuelan WBC team on March 5 in Jupiter. 

Marlins pitchers and catchers will have physicals on February 11 and will hold their first on-field workout that afternoon. Position players have physicals on February 15, with the first full-squad workout taking place that afternoon.

Individual tickets for games in Jupiter will go on sale at the Roger Dean Stadium Box Office and local Ticketmaster locations on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 10 am.
